Så fungerar det

Vi vill berätta om framtiden. När vi redan har bestämt något säger vi going to: I'm going to visit my cousins. När vi gissar eller bestämmer oss nu säger vi will: I think it will rain. I'll help you.

Planer behöver inte vara stora. Det kan vara en helg hemma, en sak du vill lära dig eller något du hoppas på. Skriv vad du ska göra, när och varför. Maybe, kanske, visar att du inte är säker.

Next week I'm going to learn to swim. Det betyder: nästa vecka ska jag lära mig simma.

Maya's summer plans

Hi everyone! The summer holiday starts next week, and I've got lots of plans. First, I'm going to visit my grandparents in Wales. They live in a small house near the sea, and they've got two sheep and a very old cat called Toffee. Every morning I'm going to walk on the beach with Grandad. He knows the name of every bird! In July my best friend Zara is going to stay with us for a week. We're going to put up a tent in the garden and sleep outside. Mum thinks it will rain, but we don't care. We'll take lots of blankets and a torch. I'm also going to learn something new this summer: I'm going to learn to skateboard. My brother has got an old skateboard, and he says he'll teach me. I think I'll fall a lot at first! Mum says I have to wear a helmet and knee pads, so I'll look a bit silly. That's OK. I'm not going to play computer games every day. Well, maybe a little bit when it rains. Dad says we can play a family game every Friday night instead. In August we're going to go back to school, but I'm not going to think about that yet.
